State Mosque of Selangor

momoc-blog-masjid-negeri-selangorAs in the previous post I told you that I’m going to my sister’s house at Shah Alam today and I present you the Mosque of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. Usually it called as Masjid Negeri of Selangor. It is the country’s biggest mosque and also the second biggest mosque in Southeast Asia after Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The construction began in 1982 and finished on March 11, 1988. The Mosque is also known as the Blue Mosque due to its blue dome which is one of the largest in the whole world. The structure of the mosque incorporates Malay and Islamic architecture.

On the left is the original photo taken in RAW mode but for visual purposes on the web I saved it in Jpeg format. Below are the mosque with HDR effect on it.
